About Anne

Annie graduated from The University of Texas at Austin’s School of Social Work with a Master of Science in Social Work and a focus on clinical practice. She has extensive experience and training in working with older adults and their caregivers by supporting them in their aging-related issues and challenges.
Annie has spent most of her career working at Northwestern Medicine’s outpatient geriatrics clinic and is passionate about bringing her experience into the clinical practice setting at LifePath Therapy Associates. In addition to working with older adults and their caregivers on matters such as memory loss, grief, functional decline, and caregiver stress, Annie is experienced in working with adults facing depression, anxiety, and life transitions. She also enjoys facilitating support groups and has seen firsthand how powerful the group dynamic can be to help clients feel normalized and supported in their circumstances.
Annie‘s approach to therapy is relational and strengths-based. She focuses on partnering with her clients and working together to accomplish goals and to process challenges. Annie creates a warm and inviting therapeutic environment in which clients can feel safe and comfortable sharing concerns without fear of judgment. She believes that the therapeutic alliance is a key component to successful outcomes.
Annie utilizes an eclectic approach when working with clients. She pulls from several different treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, relational therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. Annie utilizes the therapeutic environment to provide connection, support, and reflective listening
