In other words, our mind (our thoughts) and our body (our physical sensations) are intricately linked- for example, the more we think about worst case scenarios, the more our body reacts such as increased heart rate, upset stomach, and/or muscle tension and tightness. 

Anxiety comes in many forms and is a response to experiencing more stress than our nervous system can manage. Good stress is short-term and inspires and motivates us, focuses our energy and enhances performance. However, unhealthy stress wears us out, leaves us feeling uneasy, and can impact our emotional and physical well being.
