Individual Therapy

For ages 12 and up.

Our team offers a wide range of individual therapy approaches and specialty areas, customized to each unique person, reflecting the diversity of the folks we work with!

You are deserving of the experience of being welcomed, embraced, celebrated, believed, and challenged. We believe in learning to be in connection to all the parts of you - even the parts you’ve buried, discarded, or exiled.

Therapy is both a science and an art. There are modalities that are based on research, the knowledge and wisdom of many communities, and decades of practice. But therapy is not a cookie cutter “one size fits all process”, it’s an art form to collaboratively work together.

Some of our therapy approaches include:

  • EFT is a therapeutic approach that helps individuals identify, experience, and process their emotions to create meaningful change in their relationships. Rooted in the science of emotions and attachment, EFT helps clients identify and transform unhealthy interaction patterns that create distress.

  • Somatic Experiencing (SE) works on reconnecting the mind and body so that we can regulate survival responses to trauma or stressful circumstances. SE works to reset our system by shifting out of reactivity into a state that is more resilient and responsive.

  • IFS focuses on identifying our parts and the ways that they impact thoughts and behavior. Through better understanding of our parts we are freed up so we can be led by our core self.

  • ACT supports folks to put down the struggle to fix, avoid, or change their feelings. You will learn skills to accept difficult thoughts and emotions, increase mindfulness, commit to actions aligned with your values, and cultivate psychological flexibility to improve your well-being.

  • Systemic Therapy examines the interconnectedness of individuals within their family or social systems. By identifying the deep-rooted patterns within their relationships and uncovering core beliefs about roles, this process helps folks understand and shift their relationship dynamics.

  • EMDR is a structured therapy that uses bilateral stimulation (like eye movements) to help process and integrate distressing or traumatic memories, alleviating the emotional charge attached to them.

  • NARM integrates a top down and bottom up approach to work through attachment, relational, and developmental trauma. NARM supports folks to explore the protective strategies that were needed in childhood to survive, deepen relationship to self, and build greater internal capacity.

  • RCT focuses on the intersectionality of relationships and identity in healing, emphasizing the importance of mutual empowerment to overcome challenges related to societal oppression, marginalization, and trauma. RCT developed alongside the rising feminist movement in psychology.

  • Grounded in mindfulness and behavioral therapy, DBT focuses on equipping people with skills to manage intense emotions, cope with challenging situations, and strengthen their relationships.

  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) supports clients in healing from attachment wounds and trauma. SP integrates somatic and cognitive processing, supporting you to discover and adjust habitual physical and psychological patterns.

An Opportunity to Explore

What therapy is not: selfish, an echo chamber, the same as talking to a friend or family, a place where you will be given platitudes or advice, a place where you are defined as a diagnosis

What therapy is: courageous care (for both yourself and those in your life), a place to be welcomed and understood, a place to be challenged, a chance to have your patterns reflected back to you, an opportunity to explore what’s getting in the way of what you most want, a relationship where you can try on new ways of being - setting boundaries, opening up, developing skills etc.

Therapy is a relationship and a space where you can try on new ways of being - setting boundaries, opening up, developing skills etc.
