Allison Mozdzen
MSW, LCSW
Psychotherapist
Allison is a clinical social worker passionate about helping individuals and families find healing, strength, and empowerment in their lives. Using a trauma-informed approach, Allison meets each person where they are, offering support and understanding as they navigate the challenges that come with life’s ups and downs. Believing in the resilience within each person, Allison strives to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and understood.
Allison's work is grounded in the belief that everyone has the ability to grow and overcome obstacles. She sees her role as a guide, helping people discover their inner strengths and use them to create positive change. Whether working with a teenager facing peer or family issues, a young adult going through a “quarter-life crisis,” or a parent concerned about their child’s school or mental health challenges, Allison is there to walk alongside them. She is also passionate about supporting families as they work through tough conversations, reconnect, or find better ways to communicate. Allison's goal is to help clients feel empowered and confident in facing whatever challenges come their way.
With a master’s degree in social work from Loyola University of Chicago and 10 years of experience in diverse settings, from schools to community mental health centers, Allison has had the privilege of working with students on IEPs and behavioral issues, and supporting families with childhood mental health diagnoses. In community work, Allison has provided individual, family, and couples therapy, helping adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns.
Deeply committed to creating a warm, inclusive space where everyone feels welcome, Allison is honored to be part of her clients’ journeys toward healing, transformation, and hope.
Outside of work, Allison enjoys sitting on her back patio with a good book and her dog, discovering new restaurants in the city, and spending summer days by the water in Lake Geneva
